dainty

dainty is daily exercise for your creativity.

Sure, there are lots of word-based puzzles out there.

But unlike most puzzles, dainty is less about solving*, more about creating: writing a seventeen-word story, crafting a haiku, rhyming four lines, writing a description without the letter e and so on.

Tiny, slightly tricky tasks that keep your imagination moving.

Because creating is part of what keeps our brains fit.

And as AI makes it easier to outsource more and more of our writing, problem-solving and creative thinking, dainty pushes back** by encouraging creative thought through these tiny tasks.

And how does dainty work? Well, it uses AI, of course.

AI functions as the dainty ‘coach’: evaluating your input, giving you a mark out of ten, and providing feedback.

In other words, it is using AI to fight - in a very dainty way - some of the negative impacts of AI. Turning the machine back on itself. Helping our minds work more, not less.

But this isn’t science, just a feeling.

And when all’s said and done, it’s just a bit of fun.

* Except Sunday’s riddle. But we’re all lazy on Sunday.
